Here we are! The book is out...and the website is done...now what do we do? Well, we blog! This blog is not going to be the typical one full of me giving opinions on everything. It is going to be a collection of items associated with the book...and some will just be personal observations. So, stay tuned. For now, check out the study guide for the book below...and my hope is that book blesses you!

What an outstanding book. This has served as a great reminder of what's really important in our relationship with Christ. Your honesty and candidness is so refreshing in knowing we have fellow Christians that go through the same kinds of struggles, successes, and bouts of wondering. Good luck and thank you!

Hi Paul,
You may or may not recall who I am, but you and Kim served as interim youth pastors at Canal Street Presbyterian. I was a part of that group and today remain extremely grateful for your impact on my faith at that very crucial point in my Christian walk. The road since then has not been, in the words of Fr. Brennan Manning, "an unbroken, upwards spiral towards holiness," but the Lord has nonetheless taken a hold of my life. I'm serving as a pastor now in the Detroit area with my wife and I credit you (and a few other men of God) with being a significant catalyst in my life to surrender to the love and forgiveness of God. So quite simply, and sincerely, "thank you". Your book has been a blessing. I plan on purchasing it for the men of the congregation I serve and trust it will bless them as well. P.S. You quote Peter Kreeft in your book. Dr. Kreeft is one of my favorite authors and an anointed apologists of the Christian faith. Say hi to Kim and Trey for me!

What a great book!! You are one of my favorite Baseball Players and it was great know that you were a Christian. Real Men love Jesus! I just wished I could have gotten it autographed! Go Tribe...sorry! I know you will end up back with the Indians.

Paul,
Just finished your book the other day and heard the news here in town. Yes, under all the snow. You will be missed from the stands... I liked reading the note above in October with the "good luck in the playoffs".
Anyways, I picked up your book last year just before I lost my job and my wife asked that we seperate as we work towards a divorce. Needless to say that was a rough 24 hours, but it was like any NY minute (over before you get a chance to bleed).
I appreciate your book and writing very much. There is a men's Church group that I was part of in Stanford, CT at St. Jame's Parish, and I tell you that they were a strong reason that I made it through this storm. The let me know, that like the apostles we were all in the boat together in this storm of life, we just needed enough faith to let Jesus into the boat. The men were there for others, like brothers in Christ, and yet frank enough to talk about "being a Christian man" in today's society. Together walk together through what it means to be Christian men.
You mention the pornography and HGH, as well as your relationship with the Legend; all things we all wrestle with as men.
Thanks for sharing your stories. Hope that there will be a second book soon, just don't let the cover be with a Red Sox jersey on. Tell Mr. Crisp hello and that we're starting to think that we're building other teams up with our star players. I know the men's group will see this post, as I've recommended it to them all as a "must read". Yes they are Sox fans, so I'm sure they'll ditch the dust cover and not appreciate the Cleveland Jersey.
Pax Tibi, Paul.

Paul,
Really enjoyed having you speak at Stonecreek Church this morning. Thanks for authentically sharing your story and helping us see Jesus as "Father." Your words were a great reminder that religious duty and activity is lifeless; walking in relationship with Jesus is life-giving. God's best to you as you pursue life in Jesus as your greatest passion.
